Community Music

IMG_7977.jpeg

Everyone is an artist.

Music is for all of us.

What is Community Music?

Community Music brings people together, using music as a tool for connection, inclusion, and social change. It goes beyond music-making – it fosters democracy, participation, equality, and empowerment, creating a space where every voice matters.

Community Music ensures that music is accessible to all, regardless of the artistic background or experience. There’s no need to read music or play an instrument—what matters is an open mind, the willingness to explore sound, creativity, and collaboration.

How I work

As a Community Musician, my mission is to promote cultural participation through inclusive and collaborative music-making. I believe that shared musical experiences have the power to inspire transformation, foster connection, and build a sense of belonging on both individual and collective levels. Whether through singing, songwriting, or community events, my goal is to create spaces where everyone feels empowered to express themselves through music.

  • Singing Circles – Bringing people together to share songs and melodies from different cultures, creating a sense of unity and joy.

  • Music Writing Labs – Co-creating new songs and musical pieces in an open, supportive, and creative space.

  • Event Planning – Helping communities organize concerts or pop-up events with a collaborative and inclusive approach.

Work With Me

Music is more than just art—it is a universal language, a powerful tool to build bridges, finding expression, and strengthening communities. My goal is to make this experience accessible, meaningful, and enriching for everyone.

Workshops & Participatory Concerts

Are you planning an event or project and looking for an inclusive, democratic approach to music-making?

Whether in kindergartens, (music) schools, elderly homes, youth or family centers, I support communities in creating meaningful music experiences. From interactive workshops to collaborative concerts, my work fosters creativity, connection, and participation for all.

Masterclasses

You are a music teacher, social worker, or educator interested in new tools to foster participation, inclusion, and democracy?

In my Community Music Masterclass you’ll learn how to create an environment of mutual respect and collaboration, where participants feel seen, heard, and empowered.

The focus is on facilitation techniques that encourage co-creation, support individual ideas, and shape them into collective musical pieces.

This hands-on masterclass introduces the core principles and methods of Community Music through direct musical experience. Explore spontaneous music-making, improvisation, and co-creative processes—transforming a group into a spontaneous orchestra.

Key topics include:

  • What does facilitation mean in a Community Music setting?

  • How do I create a safe and inclusive space for musical collaboration?

  • How does non-verbal music-making work, and why is it so powerful?

This workshop is an opportunity to step into the world of Community Music and experience firsthand how music can connect, inspire, and empower.
